Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2016 is launched around Australia
Transparency International’s 2016 Corruption Perceptions Index will be launched in Australia with multi-state events on 31 January 2017. Please join Transparency International Australia and KordaMentha for a networking event to launch the Index in Australia. Invitations will be sent separately. RSVPs essential; numbers are limited.
Release of Australia’s First Open Government Partnership National Action Plan
After a long journey the Government has released Australia’s first Open Government Partnership (OGP) National Action Plan (NAP). This is a major step forward. TI Australia has helped ensure civil society participation in the development of the NAP It is not a perfect plan, but is a strong foundation which can be built on for the future.
TI Australia CEO, Phil Newman
Mr Phil Newman’s 12 month contract as TI Australia’s CEO comes to an end on 3 January 2017. The TIA Board regrets that, due to family commitments, Phil is unavailable to extend his contract. We have greatly appreciated Phil’s contribution to significant developments in TI Australia’s activities during the past year. We wish Phil all the best in the future. We look forward to announcing the appointment of our next CEO in the near future.
