EITI – a call to action

TI Australia urges the government to include adoption of Australia’s implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in their resources industry policies and platform. By so doing political parties will enhance Australia’s existing commitment to the EITI.
Transparency International (TI) welcomes the new US law making mandatory disclosure of payments to governments required of oil, gas and mining companies listed covered by the SEC. A recent ABC radio program discussed this surprising new development which will catch our leading miners.
